2019 Toyota Highlander

Toyota Northwest Edmonton is proud to sell the 2019 Toyota Highlander. This is the Toyota Highlander Edmonton drivers will choose for all of their families' adventures.

At Toyota Northwest Edmonton, the 2019 Toyota Highlander holds a special place in our line-up of Toyota SUVs. With room for up to eight passengers, the Highlander is perfect for all of your family's adventures. A midsize crossover platform gives it car-like handling and manoeuvrability, yet it can still tow up to 1,587 kg (3,500 lbs). It comes loaded with performance and safety features, along with options like a panoramic sunroof that boost the luxury quotient. For drivers who don't want to trade fuel efficiency for utility, the 2019 Highlander offers a hybrid model--the only midsize hybrid SUV available in Canada. Come drop by our showroom today for a test drive, and discover why the Highlander is perfect for your family.

A Well-appointed Interior

The 2019 Highlander offers seating for seven or eight in three rows. Standard heated front seats make winter mornings more bearable, while the Limited model offers heated middle-row seats. The SE Package provides reclining captain's chairs in the middle row, and the SE's entire interior is trimmed in black sport leather. Leather is also standard on all XLE, Limited, and Hybrid models. The third row folds flat to expand the cargo space up to 2,300 litres. An available three-zone automatic climate control system keeps everyone comfortable.

Performance

The 2019 Highlander offers two drivetrains. A 3.5-litre direct injection V6 channels 295 hp through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Highlander Hybrid model utilizes Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive to produce 306 net hp, yet it achieves a terrific fuel economy rating of 8.1 L/100 km in the city and 8.5 L/100 km on the highway. Front wheel drive is standard on the Base LE model, while all wheel drive is standard on all other models.

Entertainment Options

The 2019 Highlander offers standard Bluetooth hands-free connectivity for your phone and Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users. The Bluetooth connection offers wireless audio streaming and phone book access. The cache radio feature lets you pause the radio broadcast for up to 20 minutes and then resume without missing a thing. Plus, parents will appreciate the Driver EasySpeak tool that's available on several Highlander trim levels. A microphone near the driver's seat transmits your voice through the rear speakers--perfect for getting the attention of rear seat passengers who may be paying more attention to each other or their headphones than they are to you!

Additional High-Tech Features

A 6.1-inch touchscreen controls the audio system. XLE and Limited models provide SiriusXM Satellite Radio and AVN navigation in a larger 8-inch screen. The optional bird's-eye view monitor provides overhead views and combines with front and rear clearance sonar to make parking easier. Push button start with a Smart Key is available on most trim levels.

Safety Technology

All trim levels of the 2019 Highlander come standard with Toyota Safety Sense P (also called TSS-P). This tool centers on a pre-collision warning and braking system that helps to avoid or mitigate a crash. TSS-P also includes Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, automatic high beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Eight airbags protect occupants, including dual stage front airbags, driver's knee airbag, and side curtain airbags for front and rear passengers. Blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert is now standard across all AWD models for 2019.
