The 2019 Toyota RAV4 is all-new for this model year. Built on Toyota's New Global Architecture platform, the RAV4 now has a longer wheelbase, wider track, and more ground clearance. The new RAV4 in comparison to the outgoing model is also roomier inside and a better drive overall. This freshly designed SUV is also more fuel efficient and lighter in weight when compared to the previous generation RAV4.
The 2019 Honda CR-V was redesigned last year, offering excellent interior space and a smooth ride. Fuel economy is also very good with the CR-V. Also added are improvements to the Honda's safety and all-wheel drive traction systems.

As the chart shows, the CR-V and new RAV4 comparison puts the two very close to one another in overall specifications. The Toyota's larger engine, excellent fuel economy, and higher ground clearance are all good things. Those who enjoy driving will like the geared transmission, especially off the pavement, compared to the continuously variable transmission in the Honda. Finally, although the 2019 Toyota RAV4 in Edmonton might not quite stack up in total cargo volume, it does have a more accessible and flatter cargo floor in comparison.
Both the new RAV4 in review and the Honda CR-V have comparable advanced safety technologies on board, but only the RAV4 offers them as standard in all trim levels. The Honda only has them in uper-level trim points. The Toyota also includes a larger infotainment screen and some advanced driver assistance and convenience items that aren't in the Honda at all.
