2019 Toyota Tundra | Price, Features and Performance
A rugged exterior, a quiet and comfortable interior, and lots of cargo space make the Toyota Tundra one of the most popular pickups on the road today. Eight trims, a variety of packages, available 4x2 or 4x4 drive-trains, and double or CrewMax cab configurations means there's a 2019 Toyota Tundra for every budget and situation.
This year's Tundra comes with a choice of either a 4.6 or 5.7-Litre Aluminum i-FORCE V8 engine. Toyota also makes a 5.7-litre version with flex-fuel capability. Both come linked to a six-speed electronically controlled automatic Transmission with sequential shift mode and uphill/downhill shift logic. The 5.7L V8 models add Tow/Haul Mode. Two-wheel drive models with the 4.6-litre engine get 17.7/13.6/15.9, while 5.7-litre powered versions get 18/14.1/16.3. All figures are City/Highway/Combined L/100km.
All Tundra versions employ a bundle of active safety features called "Toyota Safety Sense" and Toyota's Star Safety System. With standard or available features such as Pre-Collision and Pedestrian Detection warning systems, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Traction Control, Brake Assist, and Smart Stop Technology, the two systems combine to make the 2019 Toyota Tundra one of the safest vehicles on the road today.
All Tundra configurations come with Entune Audio - a Toyota premium sound system controlled by a six-inch colour display. Etune Audio systems on the Tundra start with at least six speakers, an AM/FM/CD audio system which also plays back MP3 and WMA files, Bluetooth streaming, an auxiliary audio input, and a USB input. The Etune system makes connecting a cell phone, and streaming music, a breeze. All 4x4 models also come with integrated SiriusXM Satellite radio and HD radio standard or as an available option. Crewmax Platinum models get upgraded to twelve-speaker JBL sound and a seven-inch control centre.
Loaded with up-to-the-minute technologies, this year's Tundra proves that fun and function get along just fine. All Tundra trims come with -
Higher trims come with or offer advanced technologies such as navigation, Siri Eyes Free, and predictive Traffic and Doppler Weather overlay information.
Depending on the selected trim, some of the more notable comforts available on this year's Tundra include Automatic Dual Zone Climate Control with dust and pollen filtration, premium cloth or leather-trimmed seating, heated front bucket seats, a ten-way power-adjustable driver's seat; and six-way power-adjustable front passenger seating.
