The 2020 Toyota Prius Prime features some major updates this year that you’re sure to love. From seating five people to the brand new trim levels. Toyota has outdone itself on this vehicle. The standard specs for the Toyota includes a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 121 system horsepower. There are two electric motors, 76 kW combined.

The Hyundai Ioniq has a 1.6-liter engine and 45-kW electric motor. The powertrain and engine on the Hyundai is largely unchanged since its debut several years ago, while the Prius Prime went through several major changes to evolve.

Exterior Design

Interior Features and Technology

The 2020 Toyota Prius Prime and Hyundai Ioniq went through some updates with the interior. The most notable difference with the Prius Prime is the space in the vehicle is now large enough to hold five people. Additionally, the 60/40 split for the back seat allows more cargo space than before.

Check out the new and improved dashboards of both vehicles, with the Prius Prime boasting of a full 11.6-in. multimedia display on the XLE trim. Although, the Hyundai did get an overhaul inside, it’s touchscreen display is 10.5 on the premium trim level.
