Safety Features Packed Into the New Toyota Corolla

Our crew here at Toyota Northwest Edmonton wanted to help educate you on safety features in new cars. This years' all-new 2019 Toyota Corolla is a popular compact car because it has an abundance of these features helping keep motorists safe on the roads.

Although the Adaptive Cruise Control system in your new Toyota Corolla operates similar to a cruise control, it is more advanced. Set your desired cruising speed and the radar scans the road ahead for a lead vehicle that will be used to create a driving buffer zone. From here, your vehicle automatically powers or brakes to maintain the buffer.

The way the Lane-Keeping System keeps you and others safe on the road is by allowing radar technology to identify the position of your vehicle on the road. If the Toyota Corolla begins to drift outside the lane lines, your steering wheel begins vibrating in stronger frequencies until you're able to correct the issue.
